House Washing in Haymarket & Gainesville
Safe soft-wash treatment for siding, brick, stucco, and shingled roofs.
If the north side of your house has that gray-green tint, or your Hardie siding is starting to look chalky, or your roof shingles have black streaks, you do not have a paint or roof problem — you have algae. The fix is a professional house wash, not a re-paint.
What we house wash
- Vinyl siding
- Hardie (fiber cement) siding — standard on Toll Brothers homes in Dominion Valley and Piedmont
- Brick — including chimney brick and masonry
- Stucco and EIFS
- Asphalt shingle roofs
- Gutters and fascia
- Outdoor furniture and porch ceilings
Why soft wash, not pressure wash
Siding and roofs should never be hit with high pressure. High pressure on Hardie blows out the cement face, on vinyl drives water behind the panels, on asphalt shingles strips the granules. Soft-wash uses chemistry and dwell time to do the cleaning, then a low-pressure rinse to take it all off.
HOA architectural standards
Dominion Valley, Piedmont, Evergreen, and Heritage Hunt all enforce architectural standards that include exterior cleanliness. An annual house wash is significantly cheaper than re-painting siding or replacing a roof.
