What RO/DI Actually Means
RO/DI stands for Reverse Osmosis / Deionization — a two-stage purification process that strips virtually everything out of the water:
Reverse Osmosis – Forces water through an ultra-fine membrane that removes the vast majority of dissolved solids.
Deionization – A second stage that pulls out the remaining mineral ions, bringing the water down to essentially zero total dissolved solids (TDS).
The result is water so pure it’s actually “hungry” — it wants to grab onto dirt and minerals and carry them away.

Because pure water contains nothing dissolved in it, it does two things ordinary water can’t. First, it acts as a powerful natural solvent, lifting dirt and old mineral deposits off the glass.
