Garbage Disposal Installation & Replacement in Haymarket & Northern Virginia
Dead unit out, new one in, leak-tested and hauled away — done right by your neighbor.
A garbage disposal rarely fails politely. One day it hums without spinning, trips its reset button every week, or leaves a slow drip in the cabinet you find by smell. When a unit is jammed beyond saving, leaking from the body, or simply worn out, replacement beats repair — and that is exactly the job we take off your plate. Cornerstone Property Care swaps your old disposal for the new one, reconnects it to your existing drain, dishwasher line, and outlet, runs water through everything to prove it is tight, and takes the old unit with us.
We work across Haymarket, Gainesville, and Northern Virginia — Dominion Valley, Piedmont, Heritage Hunt, Stone Ridge, South Riding, and Aldie — so a disposal swap is a short trip and an easy morning appointment.
What’s included
THE CLEAN SWAP
Old Unit Out, New Unit In
We cut the power, disconnect the drain and dishwasher line, and drop the old unit off its mounting ring without soaking your cabinet. The new disposal goes up on a fresh mount, gets wired to your existing cord and outlet, and reconnects to the plumbing that is already there — a like-for-like swap, done cleanly.
Small details are where disposal installs go wrong, so we sweat them: a properly seated sink flange with fresh putty, and the dishwasher knockout punched before the line goes on — miss that one and the dishwasher floods the cabinet on its first cycle. Then we run water, grind ice, and check every joint before we call it done.
Any Major Brand
InSinkErator, Moen, Waste King — you pick the unit and have it on hand, and we install it. Not sure what size motor or mount you need? Send a photo of what is under the sink and we will tell you exactly what to buy so it fits the first time.
Haul-Away Included
The old disposal leaves with us and goes to the metal recycler, not the landfill. No unit rusting in your garage, no extra trip on your weekend. One visit, old one gone.
Leak-Tested Before We Leave
Every install ends with a full run: water on, disposal grinding, dishwasher line checked, and a flashlight pass under the sink. If a connection needs another quarter-turn, it gets it before we pack up.
Tidy, On-Time, Respectful
We lay down protection, keep the work area clean, and show up in the window we promised. A neighbor who treats your kitchen like his own — not a no-call, no-show.
How it works
You buy the disposal, we handle the rest. Pick your unit — or text us a photo under the sink and we will tell you what to buy. We bring the mounting hardware know-how, the putty, and the patience for that one stubborn slip nut.
Most kitchens are a straightforward swap. If your old disposal connects to an existing outlet and standard drain plumbing, the new one connects the same way — usually about an hour. If we spot anything unusual in your photos, we tell you up front, so the quote you get is the price you pay.
Replacing the dishwasher too? We do dishwasher swaps the same way — and the rest of your list is covered on our home repairs page. Get in touch to grab a morning slot.
