Hardscaping fails slowly, then all at once. A paver patio settles where the downspout dumps, a walkway heaves after a hard winter, the joint sand washes out and weeds move in, and one day the garden wall is leaning far enough that you stop and look at it. Almost none of that calls for tearing everything out. Pavers can be lifted, the base rebuilt and compacted properly, and the same stones re-laid flat — the repair disappears into the surface it came from, at a fraction of what a new patio costs.

Paver Patio & Walkway Repair That Blends In
Settled, heaved, or wobbly pavers are almost always a base problem, not a paver problem. We lift the affected stones, dig out the washed-out or under-built base, rebuild it with proper stone dust and compaction, and re-lay your existing pavers dead flat. Because the original stones go back in, there is no new-patch look — the repaired area reads as one surface with the rest of the patio.
While the stones are up, we fix what caused the settling in the first place — usually water. A downspout extended past the patio, an edge restraint re-anchored, or a low spot re-graded costs little during a repair and is the difference between a fix that holds for years and one that sinks again next spring. The job finishes with fresh polymeric sand swept and set in the joints, which locks the pavers together and keeps weeds and ants out.
Walkways, Steps & Small Patios
New paver walkways, front-step landings, and modest patios and pads — built on a properly excavated, compacted base so they stay where we put them. We are honest about scale: garden-size projects are our lane, and if your plans call for a full outdoor-kitchen build-out, we will say so and point you to the right contractor.
Retaining & Garden Wall Repair
Leaning block walls straightened and rebuilt, cap stones re-glued, bulging sections taken down and re-stacked with the drainage gravel and backfill the original builder skipped — which is usually why the wall moved. Small timber and stacked-stone garden walls too.
Joint Sand, Cleaning & Sealing
Weedy, washed-out joints stripped, the surface cleaned, and fresh polymeric sand installed and set. Optional sealing deepens the color and slows staining and sand loss — a half-day refresh that makes a tired patio look close to new.
Edging, Borders & Drainage
Loose edge restraints re-anchored, brick and stone borders re-set, flagstone steppers leveled, and the grading and downspout fixes that stop water from undermining your hardscape — the quiet work that keeps everything else in place.
How it works
Text us a photo of the sunken spot, the wall, or the walkway. A couple of pictures and rough dimensions are usually enough for a straight answer on what the fix involves — and an itemized quote, with nothing padded onto it.
Most repairs are a one-day job. Re-sets, joint sand, and edging are typically same-day. Wall rebuilds and new walkways get sequenced properly — base compacted in lifts, sand set before rain — so the work holds through the next freeze-thaw, not just the next season.
